Common questions before getting in touch
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. The initial call, usually about 30 minutes, is free and confidential. We use it to understand your situation and decide together whether there is a good fit. If we think another firm would serve you better, we will tell you honestly.
How quickly can you start?
It depends on our current workload. Typically we can begin a new project within two to three weeks of signing the engagement letter. For urgent matters, such as a time-sensitive acquisition or a compliance deadline, we can sometimes start sooner by rearranging schedules.
Can you work with businesses outside Yorkshire?
Yes. About a third of our clients are based outside West Yorkshire. We combine on-site visits with video calls to keep travel costs manageable. For London-based clients we usually visit once a fortnight and hold weekly video check-ins between visits.
What size of business do you typically work with?
Most of our clients have between 10 and 250 employees and turn over between £1 million and £30 million. We have worked with smaller startups on specific projects, but our methods are designed for businesses that already have some operational complexity.
What does an engagement cost?
We quote a fixed project fee before any work begins, so you know the total cost upfront. A short operational review typically runs between £4,000 and £12,000 depending on the size of the business. Longer strategic projects and succession plans are priced individually. We are transparent about fees from the first conversation.
Our response promise
When you contact Legacy Biz Consultants, you will hear from a consultant, not a receptionist or a chatbot. We reply to emails within one working day and return missed calls the same day. If you fill in the form above, the person who responds will be the same person who would lead your project, so you can judge the fit from the very first exchange.
We know that reaching out to a consultant can feel like a big step, especially if you have never used one before. There is no commitment at this stage. We are here to listen, give you an honest opinion and let you decide from there.
Privacy policy
Legacy Biz Consultants collects personal data only when you submit an inquiry through our contact form or communicate with us by phone or email. We store your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, where you become a client, to manage our engagement with you.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties except where required by law or where a trusted processor (such as our email hosting provider) needs access to deliver the service. All processors are contractually bound to handle data in accordance with UK GDPR.
We retain inquiry data for 24 months after our last communication with you, unless a client relationship is established, in which case records are kept for seven years after the engagement ends to comply with professional and tax obligations.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights. We will respond within 30 days.
